The 58th Annual Meeting of the American Burn Association (ABA) took place in Orlando from April 14 to 17. In the opening presentation, President Jeffrey Carter emphasized that innovation, collaboration, and humanistic care are the key drivers advancing burn treatment—a vision that aligns closely with MEBO International’s commitment to driving technological breakthroughs through regenerative medicine and improving patient outcomes, together laying the groundwork for the future evolution of burn care worldwide.

As a global leader in regenerative medicine, MEBO International has made its presence felt at the ABA Annual Meeting for many consecutive years. This year, the company once again systematically presented its full-process solutions for wound care. Notably, for the first time at its booth, MEBO International unveiled the achievements of its APEC collaboration, spotlighting its leading role and outstanding contributions to burn care within the APEC region since 2023.
In 2023, the APEC Burn Symposium, initiated by Kevin Xu, Chairman of the APEC 2023 Organizing Committee and Chairman of the MEBO Group Board, was successfully held. The symposium brought together leading burn care experts from APEC member economies including China, the United States, Canada, Australia, and Mexico to jointly address critical issues in global burn treatment. This milestone event fully demonstrated MEBO International’s deep engagement and leadership in fostering burn care collaboration across the APEC region.

During the conference, Dr. Ariel Miranda, President-Elect of the International Society for Burn Injuries (ISBI), visited the MEBO International booth. He formally invited MEBO to serve as a key partner in its preparation and organization, reflecting the international academic community’s strong recognition of MEBO’s global influence. Additionally, Moist Exposed Burn Ointment is currently undergoing FDA clinical trials for burn treatment in the United States, with the Burn Center at the University of California, Davis being one of the participating sites. The expert team from the center shared updates at the booth, noting that the clinical results to date have demonstrated excellent therapeutic outcomes, particularly in wound healing, pain relief, and scar prevention, receiving positive feedback from both investigators and patients.

This year’s annual meeting further deepened the strategic cooperation between MEBO International and the ABA. The two parties will continue to collaborate in areas such as technology promotion, clinical research, and education and training, accelerating the global application of regenerative medical technologies. Moving forward, MEBO International will remain committed to innovation and work alongside international authoritative organizations to drive continuous progress in global burn care.
