From March 16 to 17, a delegation of six healthcare professionals from Bulgaria visited Nanyang Nanshi Hospital. The activity aimed to strengthen cooperation between China and Bulgaria, and advance the development of regenerative medical technology.
On the first day, Mr. Zhao Junxiang, Secretary of Nanshi Hospital, extended a sincere welcome to the Bulgarian delegation. Afterwards, Director Zhao Bo briefly introduced the hospital’s development and specialized departments. The delegation visited the burns, wound repair, and scar reconstruction department, and gained in-depth insight into the standardized clinical application of regenerative medical technology.
In the afternoon, Professor Ding Minghua gave an academic presentation on the multidisciplinary application of regenerative medical technology with typical clinical cases. Dr. Petar from Bulgaria shared local research progress and clinical practice in regenerative medical technology. After presentation, a discussion focusing on regenerative medical technology in wound management and microskin grafting techniques were discussed between both sides.
On the next morning, the delegation observed burn and wound repair surgeries in the operating room and conducted professional exchanges. In the closing ceremony, Zhao Junxiang stated that this exchange had further consolidated China-Bulgaria friendship, promoted the joint progress of regenerative medical technology, and laid a solid foundation for future in-depth cooperation.
This cross-border medical exchange has built a solid communication bridge for bilateral cooperation in burn treatment and wound management with regenerative medical technology. It further deepens health collaboration between the two countries, accelerates the promotion and innovative application of regenerative medical technology in Europe, and helps elevate global wound care standards as well as the high-quality development of international healthcare.
