On September 10th, 2025, Kevin Xu, Chairman of the Board of MEBO Group and Former Chair of the APEC Host Committee, joined Barbara, Vice President of the APEC Center, along with members of the APEC working group and several participating delegates, for an on-site inspection of the 2025 APEC CEO Summit venue at the Gyeongju Arts Center. As Gyeongju enters the final stage of preparations for the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, Kevin Xu, representing MEBO Group as a key strategic partner of APEC 2023–2025, aimed to further strengthen regional consensus among Asia-Pacific business communities in support of the upcoming summit.
This joint visit marked an important step in deepening collaboration within the APEC business and industry community. The delegation closely examined key areas of the venue, paying particular attention to layout and facility arrangements. During the visit, Kim Dong-min, Executive Director of the 2025 APEC CEO Summit, provided a comprehensive briefing on the summit’s overall preparation. The organizing committee also presented the official summit emblem to Kevin Xu—a butterfly symbolizing the interconnectedness and innovation among APEC economies. The design resonates deeply with Kevin Xu’s long-held belief that “the true significance of the APEC platform extends far beyond trade and economics; its core lies in fostering connection and partnership.”
Kevin Xu has been invited to deliver a keynote speech on October 30th at the forum titled “Global Cooperation for Better Digital Healthcare”.
